5. 施工方面：巖棉板所采用的是粘釘結合的方式，此方式大大保證的巖棉板的安全性，而玻璃棉由于其特性不能進行抹灰，故只能進行錨固形式固定，而玻璃棉沒有壓縮強度，所以板子本身相對較軟，在錨固施工時很難施工。其安全性也相對降低。巖棉板施工容易，平整度能有效控制，玻璃棉無法保證其平整度。

工作溫度：巖棉板的工作溫度在≥650℃；玻璃棉的工作溫度在≥250℃，雖然同為A1級防火材料，但兩者在工作溫度上的差別還是相當明顯的。
